“கமல் திராவிடன்! யார் சொன்னது? கமலே சொன்னார்!!”

நேற்று கமலஹாசன் மிகத் தெளிவாக பேசிய பேட்டி.

அவருடைய குழப்பம் என்ன என்பதை எனக்கும் மிக தெளிவாக புரிய வைத்த பேட்டி.

கமல்: “என் தாய் தந்தை பார்ப்பனர்கள். ஆனால் நான் பார்ப்பனர் இல்லை. திராவிடன்.”

செம்ம மேட்டர். செம்ம லாஜிக்கு. இந்த மாதிரியான சமதர்ம சமுதாய கருத்தை எங்கயாவது சீக்கிரமா நானும் யூஸ் பண்ணனும். இதே லாஜிக்கோட இங்க ஒரு பத்து பதினைஞ்சு பேரு சுத்தறாங்க. அவங்களோட நடவடிக்கையையும் க்ளோஸா வாட்ச் பண்ணி “முற்போக்குவாதி ஆவது எப்படி” என்ற கோர்ஸை ப்ராக்டிக்கலா கத்துக்கனும். அங்கங்க உண்மையோ பொய்யோ, சும்மாவாவது “பெரியார் பெரியார்” அப்படின்னு போட்டுட்டா திராவிடன்னு ஒத்துக்குவாங்க.

பிறப்பால் வருவது சாதி. ஆகவே, பிராமண சாதியில் பிறந்தவர்கள் திராவிடர்கள் கிடையாது. ஆனால் கமல் திராவிடன். யார் சொன்னது? கமலே சொன்னார்.

எனக்கு தெளிவா புரிஞ்சுது. உங்களுக்கு குழப்பமாக இருந்தா திரும்ப திரும்ப அந்த பேட்டியை பாருங்க. புரிந்துகொள்ள முயற்சியுங்க.

இது பல பிராமண ஆண்களிடம் நாம் பார்க்கக்கூடிய ஒரு விதமான சமூகத்தின் மொத்த அங்கீகாரத்துக்கு ஏங்கும் மனநிலை. மற்றவனை விட நான் முற்போக்குவாதி, தமிழ் ஆர்வலன், இடதுசாரி சிந்தனையாளன், நாத்திகன், திராவிட சிந்தனைவாதி அப்படின்னு காட்டிக்க முனைந்து, தெரியுமோ தெரியாதோ, பெரியாரியம்-கம்யூனிசம்-நாத்திகம்னு வாய்க்கு வந்ததை சபையில் பேச வேண்டியது, எழுத வேண்டியது. தம்மை விடவும் அழுத்தமாக – ஆழமாக இந்த கருத்துக்களை பேசக் கூடியவர் உள்ள சபையில் இன்னும் உக்கிரமாக இதை பேசி அங்கீகாரம் பெறுவது.

சாதாரணமாவே வேதாந்தம் சித்தாந்தம் பேசாமல் அடுத்தவனை வேற்றுமை படுத்தாமல் இருந்தாலே உத்தமம். அதுவே போதும்.

ஆனால் “இந்த மாதிரி வேஷம் கட்டி இல்லாததை இருப்பதாகவும், இருப்பதை இல்லாததாகவும் பேசினாலும் எழுதினாலும் தான் நம்மை புத்திசாலிகளாக மற்றவர்கள் அங்கீகரிப்பார்கள்”, அப்படின்னு பிராமணர்களில் ஆண்கள் சிலர் செய்யும் பைத்தியக்காரத்தனமும் அபத்தமும் கிறுக்குத்தனமும் ஏராளம். கமல் இதை செய்கிறார் என்ற சந்தேகம் பலகாலமாக இருந்தது. நேற்றைய பேட்டி அந்த சந்தேகத்தை உறுதிப்படுத்தியது.

Kamalahaasan suffers from a psychological crisis which constantly demands a socio-political recognition that every leftist-periyarist-atheist leaning so-called-progressive-thinking brahmin in Tamilnadu & Kerala suffer from. They say they are away from their caste’s clutches, but very much circle around the benefits and perks it offers.

It’s like the mid-life crisis that many people suffer from.

These Brahmin men speak leftist and periyarist policies more exaggeratedly than the genuine ones in a race to mentally overtake the others in debate and discourse. They try to single out themselves and try to prove that they are winners. Peacefully sit and talk to them like how Karthigaichelvan did with Kamalahaasan, they will spit out they’ll confusion they are living with.

This is more personal and I’m aware of many with this mental crisis. I have sure come past many brahmin men in my circles like this. They cannot simply live by a policy in life to not discriminate others and take others for a ride like their forefathers did. They complicate it for themselves and others to unnecessarily prove their moral righteousness and intellect on world ideologies (about which they have no full knowledge of). This is very common and noticeable.
